Background

You will start your game by transforming into one of 6 available characters: Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Mr. Green, Dr. Orchid, and Professor Plum. They all are in a mysterious Tudor Mansion. Here, at a dark and gloomy night, a serial murder happened.

The first victim was Mr. Boddy. This elderly noble man was murdered. No one knows what happened, who the killer was, and his reason. Just know that the culprit is now still lurking somewhere in this large building. And he would kill many more people if we can’t quickly find out his identity and unmask him in the crowd.

Until now when I wrote this article, I have not reached the end of the game. I am just trying to find the culprit and still don’t know if there is really another twist. Another motivation for you to download the game is: no matter who you transform into, that person (and the rest of the family characters) all have a secret you want to keep. When the crime is exposed, 100% sure that all those embarrassing secrets will be exposed as well. That is also the reason you will be confused a lot while playing the game. Gameplay

Cluedo is a classic mystery game. It is the combination of two genres: Puzzle and Family Board game. The cards will turn around 3 elements: Who, What Weapon, Where. Each situation appears, you will have to choose one of these cards and take your turn to unravel the secrets surrounding the story, finding the clues needed to reach the conclusion. The only mission that follows the whole process is to find the real culprit behind this gruesome murder.

To unlock this great mystery, you will have to collect as many clues as possible. They are not in any order, both in space and in time. So even if you already have a lot of direct or indirect evidence, you are still forced to brainstorm constantly to connect facts, clues together and find the logic behind everything. Big family secrets, long-standing feuds, and killing methods are also gradually revealed.

Your turn is decided by a roll of the dice. The dice roll, the number of points on it will correspond to the location of a room in the mansion that you are allowed to enter to find the clues. At each step you go, you will see an event, receive a question and a card with one of 3 hints about Who, What Weapon, and Where.

If the situation is too difficult, you can use the game’s Hint Table feature. This is a detail I highly appreciate about Cluedo. Not everyone can understand this game genre. And also, if you play this board game with your family, the feeling of each member will be completely different. So, the hint table will be very beneficial to open up the logic behind the clues, helping players focus on the right points to exploit instead of going around in the wrong points. Thereby, it helps shorten the distance between the members.

The character creation in Cluedo is quite good. The 2D image and the scene of the mansion appear both generous and mysterious, sometimes making you shiver because of its artificial luxury. In general, the graphics are just average, not very impressive. Just focus on the story progression and gameplay.
