The Galaxy Z Fold 5 may not have the 200MP camera we saw on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, not even the 108MP one. According to Ice Universe, Samsung’s next foldable phone will keep using the same 50-megapixel main camera sensor of the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The leak mentions that the phone will stick to the exact same sensor without any difference from the sensor of the previous phone. This is in addition to noting that it is impossible for Samsung to be able to integrate a 200-megapixel sensor with its foldable phone, but the reason why this cannot be achieved is not mentioned, whether it is due to manufacturing costs or the lack of internal expansion of the phone for the larger sensor.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will not get any improvements in the camera department

According to the rumors we have obtained so far, it is expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will provide many improvements over last year’s model.
The phone will likely be thinner and lighter thanks to the new “waterdrop” hinge technology. This hinge will greatly contribute to providing many improvements in terms of phone durability and general functionality.
There have been some reports that we have spotted recently that the phone may get some improvements in photography capabilities, but it seems that they did not have enough credibility, as the Universe leak reports that the next phone will come with the same camera setup that we saw on the Galaxy Z Fold 4. without any difference.
Unfortunately, this is frustrating and disappointing news, given the foldable phones we’ve seen in recent months from Chinese companies.
We wish Samsung could launch the 200-megapixel sensor that we saw on the Galaxy S23 Ultra inside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 camera setup, or at least be satisfied with the 108-megapixel sensor.
This does not mean that the 50-megapixel sensor is bad, but the matter is that we had hoped to see from Samsung an interest in the optical capabilities on its foldable phones more, but it seems that this matter will not happen, at least with the following models.
In this case, this means that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a 50-megapixel main camera sensor with f/1.8 lens slot supported by OIS optical stabilization technology and Dual Pixel PDAF autofocus.
It is also expected that Samsung will be able to improve the algorithms and software of the camera better to give the phone the ability to take better photos and record clearer video. Or it is possible that Samsung can enhance the hardware capabilities of the same sensor to provide better results.
